Hey Guys!

To those of you who open this, thanks for being curious enough about me to open my page, and I hope you stay with me!

For those of you who dont know me, my name is Lauren (duh!) I was born in Newfoundland, Canada. I liked there until I was 7, then I moved to Nova Scotia. I have lived there 8 years and this summer I moved across teh country to Vancouver Island. Well, actually I am still in the process of moving, I am staying in a hotel for the next 4-5 days before I move in.

This summer I have seen an amazing amount of Canada. I went up i the CNTower, I went to Depo (Where RCMP train) , I went to the set of Corner Gas, I drove though the Rocky Mountains and much more which i am too lazy to type.

I am going into grade 10 this fall and I have no clue what courses I am taking. I am planing to take a grade 11 french class if I can persuade the Guidance counceillor to allow that, for I have taken 3 years of french immersion but I can not continue at my new school.

I collect piggy banks and I love to read, wrie, and play sports. I have a bad habbit of flirting, one that I cant control (so guys, beware!) I play soccer, basketball, softball and I was on a downhill ski race team. (Note the WAS. ski passes here are 400$ more than the passes at the hill i used to go to).

I have to go to bed because now because I am tired but I shall add more when I have time.

my day today was boring.I got up at 8 thismorning and went to my new HOUSE (not home). The truck got to the place around 8 30 and we spent about 8 hours unloading the truch then the next 4 unpacking boxes and setting up our furniture.
There are olots of deer where I live now. There is one who keeps coming to my house. I goesright into the front yard. apparentl;y he will eat out of your hand. And we have an apple tree in our backyard ad they love apples so i left out apples ofr him.

I saw 31 deer in 3 days..l. thats a lot of deer!

nothing else has happened. that was my day.

Ok, well continuing on.
I am now living in my new house.
Its ok but its extreamly crowded with boxes and stuff that came out of boxes that hasnt found a plce yet.
Its hard to move around.
I found my favourite spot though. I can climb up on the windowsill and look out across teh ocean at the mainland and i can see att the mountains. I will post picts some time. Its beautiful, especially at sunset. I love to take books up and read them.
I also really love the indoor hottub we now own. It came with the house and it is amazingly nice.

Another long slow day.
I woke up and used the computer for a while, then I had to unpack some more. after lunch Me and my sister took the dogs for a walk down to the beach. It was really hot out so the dogs decided they wantd to go in the water. Si me and my sis went in to our knees but then the dog I was walking, Pico, jumped and ran which ended up making me trip and fall. I got soaked and i cut my baby toe on a huge barnicle. Not Fun. so i had to walk home, soaked.
the rest of the day has been supper and unpacking and all that fun stuff.

I know boring life huh.

well we had 2 fish die today.
Thats 4 dead fish in a week and a half.
The lady that was there every time we brough back a dead fish finally told us to take in a sample of our water to make sure there was nothing wrong with it.
I just got back from a bike ride. There are a lot of hills here.
I spent about 2 hours today cleaning the fish tank because it was disgusting. We have 2 prego fish but I dont think the babies will live long because we have 3 ghost catfish who like to eat fry. so we will be lucky if we have any survivors.



well... we went to this church today called marenatha (or something like that) and there were like people
and there was this dude who decided to introduce us to people
so he introduces us to some people (noone that i cared to talk to) and then the youth leader helper person came and went to introduce me to the head youth leader guy
buy the time I got back my parent were talking to this guy who was also in grade 10 . His name was Datin, (i think thats how its spelt)
so mom was like introducing theis guy to me taht she had just met and he had been playing the bass guitar in the worship service so mom was liek ' oh Lauren played the bass too!!!'
and hes all like thats awesome!
and i was like thinking :MOM!"
it was scary
then mom said "well now you will know someone when school starts"
but she made a mistake because he goes to a christain school
after we were done talking to him and we left
my bro started laughing and was liek "you should go out cuz then you would be dating datin!"
then dad said "your not alowed to date anyone with hail longer than yours"
and I said i wouldnt want to the dad told me I was rude

Today my family went to a town called Parksville to see some sculptures. They were cool. We then walked along the ebach picking up shells. I found a sand dollar but it was still alive. We then left the beach to go out for lunch. I wanted to go to a resturant called Leprechauns Door, because I love ireland and Irish folklore. Too bad the the owner fell ill over winter and never reopened again. Instead we went to a resturant called Bugsy's. Named after Bugsy someone. The dude who created Las Vegas, (Maloon maybe?)The food was ok but It wasnt great. After lunch we dorve to see some waterfalls they were pretty awesome. I will post pictures later.
The water at the falls was too cols to swim in so we went to this place further down the river. (a lot further down). It was a lot of fun. There was an outcrop where you could jump off witout fear of hitting bottom. The water was slightly col but it was nice.

I am now lookin up information on Ireland, because I got an Idea for a novel. Because of all the great folklore in ireland The book will take place in Ireland. I have alread found out a place for them to stay and a resturand for them to eat in. I went so far as to print off the menu for the bar they will have their supper at their first night.
The hostel and the bar are actual places in Kinsale Ireland. I hope the story will unfold and be good enough to please the Irish.

A sand dollar is a shell, how can it be alive.

A sand dollar is a sea creature.
Its like a clam or a muscle. It has the living part on the inside of the shell.
The hole in the bottom of a sad dollar is where the mouth is (or would have been).


so, yesterday I was hanging out a bedroom window by my ankles 2 storys up. haha long story short, I was trying to grab a screen off the lower roof thingy that hd fallen out of the window.

Well, Sorry I haven't written anything lately. Not much has happened.
School started. First day was an hour but it felt much longer.
I didnt bother telling my homeroom teacher I was new so he didnt bother explaining how the schedule and everything works at the school.
Fist day of classes I went to the wrong class. I was supposed to go to Planning 10 but I instead went to gym 12. Oops. That was slightly embarassing. I didnt really talk to anyone for a couple days.
On the fourth day of school a girl sat by me in home room. we started to talk and she was really nice but I didnt have any classes with her. The only other people I knew at the school were 3 sisters who were also new to the shcoolo that I met in the guidance councillors room when we had to register. I didnt have classes with any of them either.
It is now the second week of school... (I think)... I know a couple girls from the gym class I had transferred out of and I am now in a class with one of the sisters because I switched in to her gym class. So I know her and one other girl that introduced herself.

Today however had an interesting start. On tuesday I had gone to the student council meeting and I signed up to help with the Photo day which was today.
I ended up sitting by this guy from my french 11 class. He's cool... buut wow he reaminded me of one of mmy friends back home. He was like hyper and today was the first time since we moved here that I actually laughed infornt of other people and had a good day.So this guy is liek "Hey! your the girl in my french class who is only in grade 10!' (So i guess thats what people in my french class know my as.) We sat there for like an hour and a half handing out card things to students to give to the picture people, anyways, at one point we were talking and he tries to hug me. LIke it was weiiirrrd but I rejected him. It reminded me too much of every time one of my guy friends back home tried to hug me . Like goofy clumsy get over here kinda thing. Wow now this guy calls me the queen of mean because he was making fun of me for being a newfie so i told him to shut up (jokinly). He also now makes fun of me because when A girl asked me if i had teh last names that started with 'K' I said :No I dont have any cake.
He said her was never going to let me live it down. He will forget about it soon enough though. He also said he was gonna come up with some nickname and get every one in our french class to call me that. AND HE HARDLY KNEW ME! he's funny though. I'm glad I signed up for the photo day. Its the best day I have had since I got here. And I have a feeling this is only just the beginning.

Ok, well I dont think anyone even reads this but w/e. Sometimes its just good to say stuff, especially considering I dont have friends here i can talk to a lot.
ANYWAYS, yesterday was my first birthday here. Suprisingly a few people at school wished my a happy birthday. One girl who was in my home room, and 2 girls in my french class, oh and a girl in my gym class. A whole bunh of my friends sent me happy birthday wishes on facebook. 2 friends sent me txt msgs on my sisters phone lol.
After school yesterday My family went out to this resturant on this samalll island that has a population of like 200. the part of the resturant we ate on was actually floating! it was soo cool. There was a small fishing hole type thing with hand made fishing rods where you could try to cath fish. I didnt cathc any thing
I ordered king crab. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I havent eaten crab since i moved from newfoundland. It was amaziing. I got some money, a new purse, a native woodcarving thing, a giftcard for bluenotes, a book and some other stuff. Oh yah as part of my present dad is taking me bungee jumping this weekend if the wether is nice!
Im so excited.
I came home after first class sick today. I slapt all afternoon and I'm still really tired.
Sometimes i wonder if I feel sick because Im home sick?? Who knows.
